Photo Scrapbook from Weekend Christmas Event

To continue with the story begun in my previous post of the Annual Ladies' Christmas Event, this is a scrapbook of pictures I took (between registering guests at the Welcome Table and enjoying the wonderful food)...

the theme was based on Dr. Seuss's book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas
.
place settings (that's chocolate-covered pretzels in the white bowl)
.
this is a round flat mirror with Christmas ornaments laying on top.
It didn't photograph real well but in person was very pretty
.
the Welcome Table at the entrance to the dinner
.
Guests were encouraged to have their pictures taken at a Photo Booth
.
fun props for the photos were made available
.

some interesting fashion statements were made by the hostesses in keeping with the theme
.
the youth of the church dressed as the
children of Whoville and served the food
.
Mindy Lou Who had probably the most commanding costume of all
and she carried it off beautifully

.

The menu was Roast Beast, veggies, and green french fries...
a rich hash brown casserole was provided for those without food allergies (not shown)
.
and a pudding bar was dessert with a wide selection of toppings
.
MUCH thought and creativity went into making this event a feast for the eyes
.
the theme of the skit encouraged us to not focus
on the negative emotions that can rear their ugly heads during the Christmas season
although we had no piano music that night,
the instrument did make for an attractive
stand for Poinsettias

.
a beautiful way to kick off the Christmas season!
